Description
Position Overview: The Service Manager leads the service department, ensuring safety, efficiency, and profitability. This role involves managing assets, coordinating personnel, overseeing compliance, and maintaining high customer satisfaction within the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce safety protocols within the service department to ensure a secure working environment.
- Asset Management: Organize tracking, maintenance, replacement, and additions of assets such as vulcanizers, trucks, and trailers.
- Reporting: Prepare and oversee Service Planners, including belt, specialty, fabrication shop, and mechanics and all individuals who report to these areas.
- Personnel Management: Coordinate hiring, training, and disciplinary actions for service department staff.
- Compliance Tracking: Ensure tools and equipment meet certification and compliance standards.
- Financial Oversight: Manage service profitability, forecasting, and financial planning; report directly to the Branch Manager.
- Purchasing Decisions: Oversee service department purchasing to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Resource Allocation: Resolve scheduling conflicts by effectively allocating human resources within the department.
- Warranty Management: Address service warranties, identify root causes, manage costs, and handle urgent customer requests.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in service department management.
- Demonstrated professionalism and a strong focus on safety.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
